Equator Hostel

The Equator Hostel is a typical backpackers guesthouse in Kuala Lumpur. It is one of the many hostels at Jalan Pudu, located near Chinatown, bus station and mono rail. Although this is a very street area, the hostel should be recommended for the friendly staff and clean rooms.

The Equator Hostel is a 3-storey post-colonial house. The hostel offers spaciously accommodating mixed dorms, single, double, twin and triple rooms.

Coffee and tea are free and there is internet available.

Reggae Guest House 2

The Reggae Guest House 2 is a brand new guest house centrally located in the heart of Chinatown (next door to famous reggae bar ).

Available are air-conditioned rooms, free internet / Wi-Fi, free breakfast and hot power showers.

Staff is friendly and helpful. One traveler says it this way:

"This hostel comes very close to being the best I've ever stayed in. The staff were simply fantastic, helpful, friendly, talkative.. The place was very clean, and even has a cleaner who, despite my protests to do it myself, kept cleaning up after me at breakfast.

There was a good lounge area, perfect for meeting people, non stop TV with a good selection of films to watch on a rainy day, and free internet. The location was good too, with the bus station two minutes walk away."
