So what about playing golf in Pangkor? Unfortunately there is no golf course at the island itself. That's the bad news. The good news is that just opposite of Pangkor, Swiss-Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut have an international golf course. Damai Laut Golf & Country ClubThe Swiss-Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut is just a 30 minute boat ride away from Pangkor Island. For the golf lovers who stay in Pangkor it will be a joy to know you can take a straight boat to the Swiss-Garden which offers an international golf course. It has an excellent 18 hole, par-72 course which is designed by Ronald Fream. It is laid out in a beautiful landscape. Playing here will be a pleasure since you have views on the surrounding hills and on the Straits of Malacca. It's your only change to play golf in the Pangkor area. The course is available for beginners as for experienced golfers. There is a professional golf trainer, Mr. Steven Cheah, available on your request. Facilities as buggy, golf sets and shoes can be rented. The clubhouse has a Pro Shop with a wide range of golf attire and equipment. Next to the Pro Shop you will find the Golfers' Terrace where you can relax with a beverage and some snacks. More about the Damai Laut Golf & Country Club you can read here
Pangkor Island Beach ResortIf you want to play golf in Pangkor itself, the Pangkor Island Beach Resort is your only option. The resort has a Midi golf with 3 holes with 3 separate tee off points. For experienced golfers, this is of little use. Having said that, the Pangkor Island Beach Resort is in fact the only golf facility in Pangkor itself.
