Royal Army Ordnance Corps - Roy Bradbury

by Roy Bradbury
(Bury, Lancashire, England)

I was with the RAOC (Royal Army Ordnance Corps) attached to the REME workshops with 28 Commonwealth Inf Brigade Group based in Taiping. I was there 1961/2 before moving to 3 Base Ordnance Depot, Singapore.

It was a great time and I enjoyed swimming in the jungle pool, visiting the local cinema and trying to hear the sound system when the monsoon rains hammered on the metal roof. I have an excellent photo of the lads of the stores section and many of the camp and the residents at the time including many of the pet dogs which we adopted.
I have been in touch by email with Jock and sent him a number of photos.
Does anyone remember Jock Ross, Derek Locker, Loft Franks, Jock Armstrong or any of the others?
