The course is build by world famous golf course designer Ronald Fream. Damai Laut, an 18 hole course that features four sets of tee boxes and plays to a par-72,, has its opening Lake Nine measure of 3218 meters and Hill Nine 3382 meters.
Water is one of features of the course that can give troubles to the golfer. Damai Laut's hole no.15 is its signature hole. It is a 355 meters par-4, where the tee shot is aimed to clear the crest of a hill. After that the hole plays steep downhill to a green that sits on the seaside. Approaching the green green from either side, presents with a great view of the beauty of this hole.

However, one must not lose mind of the sand bunkers that protect the green which can cause some serious troubles.
The golf course is build on top of a hill with spectacular views towards the Straits of Malacca and Pangkor Island.
Ronald Fream, the golf course architect, comments on the Damai Laut golf course:
"Damai Laut Golf & Country Club is one of the most exciting link courses I have ever designed in recent years. My team and I have carefully laid out plans to create these 18 holes of championship caliber.
However, it will also provide the objective for beginners, average and experienced accomplished players. This course offers diverse and wide ranging playing length, from more than 6448m scaling down through four sets of teeing positions to about 4800m..
Every hole has an individual feel and playing characters to suite any player. Each green site is designed and sculptured individually into its setting, with many lakes also created to provide the perfect virtual elements. Lush flower plantings and natural greens are added to create some scenic landscape that blends beautifully with the rich green forest in the background.

However, a golf course can be build as good as it can be but without maintenance .... "Maintenance is essential", says Lee Boon Seong, the golf manager. "It's our priority to ensure that our members and guests are comfortable and enjoy their golf". No wonder the golf course looks so good, even in a hot climate as Malaysia.

Remarks

- 9 holes rates are offered only after 4.30pm onwards .
- Weekdays (Tuesday - Friday).
- Weekends (Saturday - Sunday).
- The Golf Club is closed on Mondays for maintenance. Should the Public Holidays falls on Monday, the course is open to play.
