Rocket Rice Cooker

by Pearly
(Penang)

This is the first time I am seeing this Rocket Rice Cooker. Brilliant idea, the way rice is cooked and steamed!

The Pentjak Silat is a must see in the Malay wedding. I love to see them fighting their way through to the brides or groom house.

Usually I will arrive early for any Malay wedding just to see how this youth does the Silat and kompang accompany them sets the mood. I just love the bunga rampai, the entourage coming bearing "Hantaran". Sometimes it can be so artistic, the gubahan or hantaran done by the folks

I hope the youth today wont forget this age old tradition and help preserve this art.

However, according to the traditionalists, the goal of Pentjak Silat is always self-defense and not physical education or sport.

My own daughter got married in a truly Malaysian way, Being an Indian, married to an Indian Buddhist and having tea ceremony for the Chinese relatives, look out for it in my web site in the next few days. And her dream to get married in a bullock cart, parading around town. The town of Sungai Petani were honking all the way as the bullock passes. But you can watch her Indian engagement which is already in my site.
