December 01, 2008
Hello,

Christmas is coming up. Malaysia also celebrates Christmas. It might not be as big as in Western countries but shopping malls with Christmas trees and Christmas special sales are normal. One of my friends children loves Christmas because of "snow" even though she has never seen snow!

How about spending Christmas in Pangkor, Penang or Langkawi? If you want so, you may have to hurry up booking a hotel room. December is holiday season in Malaysia. See our Langkor, Penang and Langkawi hotel pages:

Yoga at Pangkor

====================================

Yoga at Pangkor is a new option to spend your time. Pangkor is especially great for practicing yoga. You would be surprised to find out how quiet Pangkor even in the high season is. Since a few months there is a yoga club very active at Pangkor. Even though there is no permanent school or even a permanent available teacher, the group comes twice a week together to practice at the beaches of Pasir Bogak or Teluk Nipah. Sometimes, if the situation allows, they are practicing at the restaurant of Sea View.

Pangkor is because of its laid back atmosphere an excellent location to practice and study yoga. Read more:

Pangkor Town rebuilding the shoplots

====================================

The building of the shoplots in Pangkor Town is almost finished. That said, the shop are not open yet. Apparently some paperwork has to be finished. I was told the shops will be open before Chinese New year, by the end of January.

Keep an eye on the Pangkor Forum, where I will post

Christmas in Penang

====================================

How about spending your Christmas in Penang? Penang will have a truly Christmas atmosphere. Shopping centers will have special Christmas sales, hotels will have Christmas trees, some restaurant will serve special Christmas dinner and the churches will have, as you can expect, their Christmas services.

What we don't have is snow! But celebrating your Christmas at the beach of Batu Ferringhi or Teluk Bahang... doesn't that sound exciting?

Book quickly your hotel of preference because the rooms go quickly.

The "Ken" Videos and his forum

====================================

If you are long time subscriber, you know how much I appreciate Sitesell. It makes my money with writing websites about subjects I really enjoy. How much better this life is then to be a slave of a company!

Sitesell is the product of a genius: Ken Evoy, one of the leaders in internet marketing. Want to meet him? No problem. Ken has a set of videos about what Sitesell is. Check it out: http://videotour.sitesell.com/webselling64290

Another option is to read some in the forums of Sitesell. The forums are for Sitesell owners and affiliates only but I give you the option to check it out with a username and password so you can get a glimpse of the SBI community. Don't be surprised when you browse through the forum (no you can't commend) to see a lot of posts of Ken Evoy. How many presidents of multi million dollar companies spend time in forums of their own products with advice and a big ear to hear about the results of their products? Not a lot as far as I know.

Pangkor Island Beach Resort

====================================

Pangkor Island Beach Resort has still a few rooms left for the Christmas holidays.

Formerly known as the Pan Pacific, the Pangkor Island Beach Resort is one of the top hotels in Pangkor. It's located in Teluk Belanda, with a private beach and mini golf course (it's indeed very mini). The beach is very nice and clean and with swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking and much more the Pangkor Island Beach resort has everything you want for a relaxing holiday. I almost forgot to mention, the restaurants are excellent, please try the fish dishes, they are super.

Kuih, a typical Malaysian delicacies

====================================

It seems everybody in Malaysia LOVES Kuih. Wikipedia says: "Kuih is usually - but not always - sweet and intricate creations, including cakes, cookies and puddings. It can also be described as pastry, however it is to be noted that the Asian concept of "cakes" and "pastries" is different from that of the Western one."

In almost all kuih, the most common flavoring ingredients are coconut cream (thick or thin), grated coconut (plain or flavored), pandan (screwpines) leaves and gula melaka or palm sugar (fresh or aged).

Sound interesting? But what if you are not in Malaysia? Why not make it yourself? We found a great recipe book with many different Kuih recipes, if you want to explore the Kuih options, this is your chance!

Kuala Lumpur websites

====================================

The capital of Malaysia is, as you already know Kuala Lumpur. I am not a big fan of big cities and I usually get easy lost in the busy streets of a big cities. Most people in Malaysia are proud of KL because of the Twin Towers. I don't care much about them. They are towers and they are high, great.

But I am always more interest in nature. Fortunately Rick supplies me with an excellent website about how to escape the big city. If I would live in KL or being a visitor, this is the website you need to see if you want to escape the noise of the metropolis.
