This edition of the Pulau Pangkor newsletter is a little later then usual. Reasons were plenty, but the most important was that I was a few weeks in Yangshuo China for my other website. See later in this newsletter. And when I came back, there were a few things I first wanted to check for you, so I would be able to inform you proper. Yes, there is finally a new and very nice hotel at Nipah Bay available, the new shoplots in Pangkor Town open little by little (hopefully in the next issue a report of the opening of some of the shops).
Our real estate agent in Penang informed us about the status of the Infinity and there is the annual $100 Spring Special... I hope you find it all useful!

New Hotel at Nipah Bay: Anjungan Beach Resort & Spa

I was willing to write: FINALLY! But yes, finally we have a hotel with swimming pool at Nipah Bay! Just recent opened, the Anjungan Beach Resort & Spa is amazingly cheap for what they offer. The hotel is conveniently close to the beach, just cross the road!
The Anjungan Beach Resort & Spa has created a new and, if you ask me, a much better hotel then all other hotels at Nipah Beach. It is also slightly more expensive but that should not set you back. With a Spa, a good restaurant, an extensive packet of activities the Anjungan is a good choice. What makes this hotel different from the others is the swimming pool! It is the only hotel with a pool, nicely shaped in the form of a boat. The Anjungan Beach resort & Spa is highly recommended for all travelers!

Infinity Penang - Quality living in the Orient
====================================
There is plenty of property in Penang available. There is also plenty of property and apartments in the state of building. Such a building is the Infinity.
The Infinity is build at Tanjung Bungah, in the northern area of Penang. It is a good location as it is close to the Georgetown city center and to Batu Ferringhi on the other side. We have been following the building process for awhile. Recently we visited the building area again, and made a few new photos of the progress.
Infinity units are now on sale. Expected date of completion is the first quarter of 2010.

Yangshuo in early March, my most recent visit

As I said in the opening lines of this newsletter, I was a few weeks in Yangshuo to update my information about the town. Although I have been in Yangshuo for many years, I think the first time was in 1996, it was 6 months since my last visit. And again much had been changed.
When I arrived I immediately got sick, the temperature difference of 30°C was probably too much to handle. It was only 4°C on arrival! But with help of Dr. Lily, a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, I was soon ready to explore new things.

Due to the weather conditions, extensive cycling, what I usually love to do here, was hardly an option. Days with rain and cold wind made it extremely unpleasant to be outside the hotel. But then again, that gives me next time more
options.
