Diving in Komodo National Park, Indonesia

Diving in Komodo is a spectacular possibility. Komodo National Park is located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores. Established in 1980, initially the main purpose of the Park was to conserve the unique Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis) and its habitat. 

However, over the years, the goals for the Park have expanded to protecting its entire biodiversity, both terrestrial and marine. In 1986, the Park was declared a World Heritage Site and a Man and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, both indications of the Park's biological importance.

The variety of marine life for scuba diving in Komodo rivals the world's best dive destinations. This is the world's epicenter for marine diversity and you'll see loads of stuff here on a diving cruise that you just won't see anywhere else in the world.

From whale sharks, sunfish, mantas and eagle rays to pygmy seahorses. Ornate ghost pipefish, clown frogfish, nudibranchs and blue-ringed octopus - all are at home amongst a spectacular range of colorful sponges, sea squirts, tunicates and corals - a macro enthusiast's heaven.

Sample Itinerary for diving in Komodo:

Day 1 DENPASAR-LABUAN BAJO-SABOLON (-/L/D)
Morning flight from Bali. On arrival in Labuan Bajo, direct transfer to the harbor and get on board vessel and disembark to Sabolon Island. Afternoon and night dive will be arranged around Sabolon. Meals and overnight are on board.

Day 2 DIVING IN KOMODO-SABOLON (B/L/D)
Early morning sailing to Tatawa. After breakfast having your 2 morning dives around Tatawa and Crystal Rock. Afternoon lunch take your afternoon dive at Tatawa Kecil and another night dive at Pink Beach. Meals and overnight are on board.

Day 3 DIVING IN KOMODO-TATAWA (B/L/D)
Early morning you will be transferred to Loh Liang for a 3 hours trekking to see the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. After breakfast take your 2 morning dives at Batubolong and Takat Makassar. Afternoon dive and night dive at Tatawa Besar. Overnight and meals are on board.

Day 4 TATAWA-LABUAN BAJO-SEBAYUR (B/L/D)
After breakfast take your 2 morning dives around Bidadari Island. After fueling in Labuan Bajo disembark to Sebayur Island. Afternoon and night dive will be arranged around Sebayur.

Meals and overnight are on board.

Day 5 SEBAYUR-NUSA KODE (B/L/D)
Early morning sailing to Nusa Kode. After breakfast having your 2 morning dives around Nusa 
Kode & Manta Alley. Afternoon and night dives at Nusa Kode. Meals and overnight are on board.

Day 6 NUSA KODE-PADAR-RINCA-KANAWA (B/L/D)
After breakfast take your 2 morning dives at Padar and Tengah Island. Afternoon transfer to Loh Buaya in Rinca for trekking to see the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Beach barbeque dinner will be provided in one of the island subject to weather condition. Overnight is on board.

Day 7 KANAWA-LABUANBAJO-DENPASAR (B/-/-)
After breakfast return to Labuan Bajo for your flight back to Bali or next destination.

• Ending port: Labuan Bajo at 11:00 Hrs
