John and Janice did a class with Nazlina Just a quick email to say many thanks for a great day at your cookery course. It was one of the highlights of our holiday. You are clearly passionate about your food and culture and this is passed on through your classes. We would never have ventured into the food Market by ourselves! (original post plus photos of John and Janice here) "If you have been wondering the correct ways to make curry or how do you get that special color and taste for the rendang, here is the perfect class that you should take up." "We will have fun using the traditional methods for grinding spices", says Nazlina and looking at the photos, she is right. Learn how to extract fresh coconut milk manually and find the names of the spices, its smell, how to handle them. You will find many obscure and traditional tips that you may not find in any other cookbooks.
Debbie Beevor from the UK says: I attended Nazlina's cookery course in November 2009. I booked for my first day in Penang as I guessed that other people there would be like minded foodies and so my holiday would start off on a good footing. I was right. The class was great, the recipes learned were delicious and the company delightful .. add to that the perfect setting overlooking the sea and the experience can't be bettered. I have recommended this class to anyone who will listen! Learn how to fold nasi lemak using the banana leaves. Discover how many types of ketupat you can make out of coconut leaves. This cooking traditional food class is fun and educational. So, come and join Nazlina. Please fill up the form below. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment. We need at least a day notice before the date of the class. There is no minimum number of students. The maximum number of students is 12.
