|
| Hello, 2007 promises to be an interesting and busy year in Malaysia. The The Pulau Pangkor website has some great new pages running. In this newsletter we will have a look at some of the new pages. So, what do does the 2nd
Happy reading! You can read latest updates in my Blog:
Or, socialize it with: -----------------------------------------Teambuilding facilities in Pangkor, Lumut and Teluk Batik When people think of Pangkor, Lumut or Teluk Batik, they think of a holiday. But what if you have a company and want to organize a few days out with your staff to get the group closer to each other, to build a stronger team? Training and working together in a very different way then normal? That question came to me a few weeks back when I met Mr. Goh. He had the solution at hand. Read more: http://www.pulau-pangkor.com/teambuilding-in-pangkor.html ----------------------------------------- Did you enjoy Pangkor? Let me know! Here's Irina's story In my last newsletter I told you about Irina. She's living in Korea and promised me a letter with her story. I received it and wow, she and her boyfriend Jonathan loved Pangkor. Here's her story: http://www.pulau-pangkor.com/holiday-at-pangkor.html More stories about Pangkor: http://www.pulau-pangkor.com/pangkor-stories.html Feel free to write your own! I love to hear from you! ----------------------------------------- The Travel Cooler The travel cooler is a great travel blog by Anni Poulsen. She has very good articles about China, Spain, Puerto Rico, England and many other countries. The blog is an extensive information source for anyone who is either thinking about traveling or being on the road right now. http://www.thecooler.info/travel/ Anni asked me for interview as she likes the www.pulau-pangkor.com website. I was honored to do so. Here's the result: http://www.thecooler.info/travel/295.html ----------------------------------------- Pangkor Rimba Kem Apart of the Pangkor Rimba Kem, there are no beach hotels in Teluk Nipah. I have to be honest, the Pangkor Rimba Kem is not right in Teluk Nipah but "next door" at Coral Bay, near the Chinese temple. It's a lovely location, very quiet and close to the hills. The standard chalets have a beautiful view over Coral Bay. All is set for a lovely stay here. The standard chalets are new build and come with the comforts as hot water, freezer, TV and, of course, air-conditioning. The Pangkor Rimba Kem has dormitories available for groups. The only set back is that the restaurant is only open for groups, so if you come individual, you have to walk about 10 miunutes to Nipah vilage for your meals. http://www.pulau-pangkor.com/Backpackers-in-Pangkor.html ----------------------------------------- Hiking from Teluk Batik to Teluk Rubiah Just before I wanted to send the new newsletter out Mr. Goh called me. If I was interested in a little hike from Teluk Batik to Teluk Rubiah? Sure I was interested. I had not done it before though I have visited, of course, Teluk Batik and Teluk Rubiah. Last Friday we had an excellent walk in the hills along the abandoned road original scheduled to be build in the late 60's early 70's. We ended up at the Teluk Rubiah Golf Court but we didn't go further as Mr. Goh showed me another remote and difficult to reach beach. We spend some time at the beaches with Pulau Sembilan, Pulau Pangkor and Teluk Batik in almost one view! Sunset was magic, as sunsets sometimes can be magic. Here's the full report of that walk including a few photos I made. www.pulau-pangkor.com/hiking-from-teluk-batik-to-teluk-rubiah.html ----------------------------------------- Thaipusam The first of February is this year the day of Thaipusam, one of the important Hindu festivals which are all over Malaysia celebrated by the Indian Hindu population. The best place is, of course Penang but in Pangkor (Pasir Bogak) and in Sitiawan there is a considerable Hindu population. It's a great and very colorful festival and worth to have a look. http://www.pulau-pangkor.com/Indian-festival-Pangkor.html ----------------------------------------- What is CTPM?
